At this time, the secure browser is only functional on computers using OS X 10.11 or macOS 10.12 through 10.15.

The secure browser for Mac computers is not currently supported on computers using macOS 11 (also known as “Big Sur”). Workaround: Students should select the button, verify that the green check mark displays at the top-right corner of the recording device check, and then proceed with the assessment.

When the student completes the Recording Device Check during the logon process, the button that should read is instead displaying. LEA CAASPP coordinators can access the 2020–21 CAASPP student score data file in the “Reports” section of TOMS. This issue occurs whether the student is using a conventional web browser or the secure browser application. While students are permitted to share a screen with the test administrator or test examiner, the student interface does not display on the Test Administrator Interface. When students are using a macOS 11 (Big Sur) device to take tests in remote sessions, the screen sharing feature does not function properly. It is recommended that you do not upgrade student testing devices until the operating system version is supported. Restrict peripherals: Peripherals like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc can be restricted in the kiosk mode.
Update apps in kiosk mode: Update the apps to their latest version while in kiosk mode without the need to exit from kiosk. Remote management: Every action like adding web apps, whitelisting or blacklisting URLs, silent app installation etc. Multi-tabbed browsing: Enable multi-tabbed browsing for every web app that is added to the kiosk.
